What's this about needing an "autoslalom license" from CACC?? I've never heard of such a thing, nor do I believe it's mentioned in ASN regulations. I've not heard of any other club requiring this, even for any of the previous national slalom championships. Just seems like an extra cash grab to me...... :aeh:

Good question, Dustin. I've asked and will edit the above post. You simply need a licence from an ASN affiliated group. CACC is the BC group. Sorry for misleading everyone.

Thanks for the quick reply Frank!

I'm guessing that withing ARMS our club membership counts as our autoslalom or "general competition" license.

Hi Dustin,
That is my understanding also!

I didn't hear of anyone from the Atlantic coast making the trek out to the Pacific Coast - that's a huge commitment. Here's a pictorial article about the competition:

Wow, quite the event
4 separate courses, run by 100+ competitors is very impressive
How many cars did they have on course at a time?

Thanks, Scott.
Mike, I believe they were running three cars at a time. I was so busy taking photos that I didn't really look at that.

It ran like clockwork!
