I've had some interest in the magnetic number boards I had made up for my GTI and M3 for autoslalom and could have some more made up for competitors if they wanted some. They cost around $25 per side, are 12.5" tall and 18" wide and have ISI Motorsport across the top. I'd pay half the cost of anyone who ran them regionally.

Here is a pic of what they look like for anybody who wasn't at Shearwater last Saturday.

Let me know asap if anyone is interested and I will try to have them ready for Digby.

MODIFIED DESIGN 12 1/2" or 11 1/2" Tall x 18-19 wide

I will likely want one for my car but I need to doublecheck the height, the e36 doors have that crease near the top and trim in the middle. Can they be done only in that orientation?

That is the template I have right now, I don't want to get into too many design changes for the print shop. They may be able to scale it say 80% or something fairly easy, dunno. I'll check with them.

If reducing them, be sure they are still larger than the minimum req'd ... each digit >15cm high and >2.5cm wide...

Yes good point, I think the current dimensions are likely the best for the digits

Colin what number and class do you want?

I'll keep this open til Monday morning around 10am and then I will place the order. The printer is moving this weekend but they are still hoping to have them ready for Thursday.

Turns out the E36 is only 13" from the trim to the door, and 9" from the trim to the crease. They won't fit :(

Stupid E36's

These numbers are 10" tall and the letters are 4" tall.

Minimum for numbers is 6"/15cm, but I can't find anything for the class letters. When we put the 3 digit or 3 letter ones on there we will have to shrink slightly. How small can I go on the letters?

SCCA has a minimum of 4" class letters, I'd probably go with that as a good guideline.

I've ordered the 4 sets listed above. I'm hoping they will be ready for Digby but it will be tight. Nationals for sure though. See how it goes.

Yeah, E46 is about the same. Steve, if you do decide to do a set that fits the BMW folks (presumably with the class numbers to the side) I'd get some.

Yes we can put together another order. We can do it two ways. We can keep the original design which is 18" tall x 15" wide or we can come up with a size that works on cars that have a mid door molding strip. If we can come up with a height we can modify the original and potentially move the class to the side and run it vertically. I'll leave it open until the next ASCC event on the 16th for people to join up or give me some dimensions that will work and then I will send it to the printer. That should give us enough time to modify the design and get them made before leaving for Montreal.

Let me know who is interested, either in the original design or with what works on your car, with your number and class and I'll add a new list to the top post.

I'd be interested in a set if they could be 12" tall/whatever width and have the class beside the letters. I tried Joel's set on the M3 but the trim is just too thick/wide to stick properly. The material would definitely contour around the door crease though.

77 STR

(i will be taping over the class until next year)

12" tall would work fine for me. I'll get another set for the Mustang #16 SM

If they are 12 1/2" inches they can basically cut the class off at the black line and reposition it. Nice and easy. I just measure my E36 and it will work. Will prob work out to about 18-19 wide

11" tall would fit the Crx. Could squeeze 11.5

How about these? Colour is up for debate. Or we could stick with white background/black letters.

This got me thinking how it would be cool to have the main groupings with a different colour class designation, just like the IMSA numberboards, but it would be a hard sell around here to get everyone to buy in. Would look good though!

I think the idea of having a different color for each class grouping is really cool
I already have numbers though
